How do Sail() courses fit into my school’s academic calendar?
Sail() courses are offered in a quarterly, semesterly or custom continuing-education timeframe. You can find sample schedules within the sample syllabi.

How do I incorporate Sail() courses into my school’s existing computing/IT program?
Partner institutions have adopted Sail() courses as special topics courses, replacement of existing courses, new courses, or required courses within their programs.

They are also flexible enough to be taught in any course format, including:

• In-person
• Online
• Hybrid

The Sail() Platform is hosted on the cloud, which means it’s easily plugged into your existing education programs and requires minimal deployment, maintenance, and monitoring from faculty and administrators.

Once it’s added to your institution’s LMS as a third-party learning tool through LTI, each course’s infrastructure and content becomes easily accessible to faculty and students.

Integrating Sail() into your LMS is easy but has a few requirements. Your LMS must be able to:

• Perform an LTI basic launch
• Provide creation/update API access to student grades

When you’re ready to launch your new Sail() course, you’ll need to set up your OLI course in order to configure the content. Just follow these steps and your OLI course content will be ready for students to access through the Sail() portal.

If you are new to teaching courses on the Sail() platform, we ask that instructors follow these steps to prepare, once your school has been approved and onboarded to the platform:

1. Apply to gain access to the demo Sail() courses.
2. Get familiar with the course materials by going through all conceptual content, primers, and projects for the course as if you were a student.
3. Attend the online, hands-on, training session with the Sail() team and other institutions. You’ll receive an invitation prior to the session.
4. Get access to the Sail() Community Slack channel. If you need help throughout the onboarding process or during your Sail() course, you can use this channel. You’ll also be able to connect with both the Sail() team and other instructors using Sail() courses.

Our community of administrators and faculty is always willing to help those who have questions, feedback, comments, or concerns about the Sail() platform. We have a private Slack channel for onboarded institutions, giving you a way to get support from Sail() staff and connect with other institutions that are using the platform. Our diverse community has one thing in common: making sure students are prepared for the jobs of tomorrow.
